The Diversity Leadership Alliance hosted its 5^th Annual Conference at the Phoenix Convention Center on October 25, 2006.  Center Executive Director, Raul Yzaguirre, was the keynote speaker.  The mission of this non-profit organization is to “guide leaders in the transformation of culture to build an inclusive community.”

Speaking to an audience that included students from the Phoenix Union High School District, Yzaguirre described American ideals embodied in the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution as aspiration goals for every generation.  “Our challenge and the challenges of our children’s children is to make those ideals more real in each lifetime.”
