MEXICO CITY - Raul Yzaguirre, Executive Director of the Center for Community Development and Civil Rights at ASU, will address the Senate of Mexico at the Second Forum on Binational Thought, an event aimed at examining areas of common concern between Mexico and the Mexican community in the United States.

This year’s forum is entitled “Mexicans from here and over there: Common problems.” The annual forum is jointly sponsored by the Senate of Mexico and the Mexican and American Solidarity Foundation and will take place on October 26, in the Senate of Mexico, Xicotencatl 9, Centro Histórico, in Mexico City.

The Forum on Binational Thought brings together leaders and academics, all experts in analyzing the relationship between Mexican people from the United States and Mexico, to dialogue, define and determine solutions to mutual problems. Economic, political, social and cultural issues are viewed from a bilateral approach to best serve the interests of Mexicans from neighboring countries.

Yzaguirre will introduce Roger Díaz de Cossío, the president of the Mexican and American Solidarity Foundation, and is scheduled as a keynote speaker for the event.
