The Center for Community Development and Civil Rights at Arizona State University was founded in January 2005 by Raul Yzaguirre to empower people by building bridges between the university and the community as catalysts for transformation.

Our Programs

The Center's programs focus on areas that we believe have the greatest level of impact in helping to build bridges between the University and the Latino  community: ADA American Dream Academy, Latino Male Achievement & Civil Rights Forum.

Feature Events

The 2008 Spring Civil Right Forum will take place Friday April 4th and will feature former host of NPR's Talk of the Nation and Washington Post journalist Juan Williams.
 
The forum will take place at noon at the downtown Phoenix ASU campus, 411 N Central Avenue, in the main lobby. .
